Supported Independent Living

LifeSycle provides Supported Independent Living (SIL) for individuals with disabilities who have SIL funding included in their NDIS plan or those who are eligible for SIL funding. Those who cannot live with their own families will get the 24/7 support they need through SIL. As your dependable NDIS registered providers in Australia, we will assist you during the NDIS plan implementation process.
But before learning more about how we can help you, you have to know what Supported Independent Living is to understand what you can get from this service.

What Is Supported Independent Living?

With SIL, a person with a disability can live at home independently or in shared accommodation with others and receive 24/7 support with daily tasks such as cleaning and cooking and assistance with personal care.
Through SIL, it will be possible to foster your independence at home and connect you with the local community while nurturing your personal growth in a safe, supportive environment.

What We Can Do to Help You?

At LifeSycle, we can assist you with everyday duties in your house, either in a group or individually. The goal of support is to help people gain independence, and it might include things like:
  • Cooking and preparing meals and other household chores
  • Providing personal care, grooming, and health maintenance medicines
  • Catching public transport and going out with other housemates
  • Assisting you with medical appointments and recreational activities.

SIL Level of Needs

If you have SIL funding included in your NDIS plan or if you are eligible for SIL funding, below are the following levels of SIL funding you should know.
1. Lower Needs
The participant's living conditions must be supervised on a regular basis.
2. Standard Needs
The participant needs support with most everyday activities, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
3. Higher Needs
The participant requires 24/7 active management since they have complex needs.
